The Friends of Foundation Academies has launched an Emergency Assistance Fund to provide financial assistance or supplies to members of the Foundation Academy community who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses because of temporary hardship related to an unexpected situation. Such funds are designated to off-set a short-term financial need and is not intended to replace or supplement financial aid. This past year, the Emergency Fund:
- purchased food, clothing, and household goods for a family who suffered a house fire
- purchased numerous laptops for alumni dislocated and working from home during the pandemic
- helped to provide tuition assistance and books to alumni who lost their employment due to COVID-19
- provided support to students and alumni who lost immediate family members to COVID-19
